Welcome to The Outstanding Man and thank you kindly for stopping by.
The Outstanding Man was founded by Larry Bobo, in 2012 with a Mission to Inform, Educate and Empower Men, Women and Children for an Improved Quality of Life.
After receiving it’s 501(c)(3) status from the IRS in October 2011, Larry gained custody of his children in February 2012. Shortly after that, it was apparent that the his priorities had to shift and decided to focus solely on raising his children at the time. The organization lost it’s 501(c)(3) status in 2014 due to no activity.
After raising his son from 12 and getting him through college and his daughter, Larry has now returned his focus back to his original vision for the organization. After reapplying to the IRs, the organization was reinstated in June of 2024 back to 501(c)(3) status.
Using his own life experiences and more importantly, his failures, Larry decided to not only share them but to get involved. He wanted to make sure that as many that are willing to listen, learn and implement in their life what they’ve been empowered with, he will work with.
Through seminars, classes, speaking engagements, books and various other activities with professional therapists and counselors, motivational speakers, pastors and others, his vision and mission will be accomplished.
His goal of reducing the divorce rate from the then near 50% to 5% and below, is still a main priority even though the divorce rate has been on a steady decline since 2012. Many factors have contributed to the decline including, millennials waiting longer to get married and then staying married, and others deciding to live together rather than get married.
Also, part of that vision is helping the underserved and less fortunate including the homeless men, women and children in Atlanta, GA and other US cities as well as internationally too. The Bible reminds us that the poor will always be with us and we should do our part to help those in need whenever possible as it will be considered a loan to God that He will gladly repay one day.
As a 501(c)(3) organization we are heavily dependent on your financial help for funding which is also tax deductible. In order to help those in need, your generosity is the key to accomplishing this goal. We humbly accept and thank you kindly for your time, talents and most of all, financial support in all of our endeavors as an organization.
